Molecular Sieve 3A is a potassium aluminosilicate with a pore size of approximately 3 angstroms (0.3 nanometers). This specific pore size allows it to selectively adsorb molecules smaller than 3 angstroms, primarily water and other small polar molecules, while excluding larger molecules like unsaturated hydrocarbons. Molecular Sieve 3A is commonly available in bead and pellet forms, each offering distinct advantages:
